From St. John’s to Atlanta

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Sean spent his early years with his grandfather learning how to fish, farm, and prepare regional cuisine in a breathtaking rural coastal setting. Sean turned his life long hobby and passion for food into a professional career after moving to Toronto and opening his first private chef company, The House Husband.

It was not long before Hollywood came knocking and a move to Beverly Hills was in his future. Eager to learn, Sean embarked on the adventures of living in a city like Los Angeles. In the years to follow, the finest American and European restaurants and hotels were his playground as he studied and honed his craft. In his free time, Sean began teaching culinary classes both to professional and nonprofessional students.

After moving to Atlanta, Sean decided to use his broad range of culinary and lifestyle experiences to turn what he had done for the few as a private chef into something that he could do for the very many. Sean O’Keefe Events was created in the spring of 2009; specializing in seizing the magic in every moment and cultivating clients’ ideas into gracious, high-style events with a particular focus on the not for profit community.

With over thirty years of experience Sean O’Keefe Events has focused on planning and design, food and beverage consultation, culinary services, lifestyle television, and most recently, Sean O’Keefe Weddings and Floral Design. From charity fundraisers to lavish weddings and everything in between, Sean O’Keefe Events has been at the forefront of the Atlanta events community.

With his Hollywood background it was easy to move into television and in 2014 Sean became a regular lifestyle and wellness contributor for NBC, CBS, FOX, and The Weather Channel. After taking a few years away from television to work on his Atlanta based wedding design and floral business, Sean is back in full force with regular television appearances and as a contributing associate editor for Lifestyle Publications. In his free time Sean is an avid beekeeper and organic gardener.

Currently, Sean O’Keefe and Sean O’keefe Events are focused on helping as many not for profit organizations through the Covid-19 Global Pandemic as possible. “While I am thoroughly enjoying producing virtual events for the corporate and social community ,” said Sean, “I am uniquely focused on the not for profit community and broadcast charity fundraising.” Check out There is a lot to see!
